Kosaka Town Office has hosted a Coordinator of International Relations (CIR) on the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET) since 1992. To date, Kosaka has had 7 CIR's from the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand.

Kosaka's CIR teaches regularly at the town's elementary schools, helps plan and execute Kosaka International Society (KIS) events, serves as a liasion between JICA training program participants and the town office, edits and publishes the town's English newsletter, maintains this website, and much much more.
