| Welcome JICA Participants! |
|
On February 17, 11 interns from 7 countries came to Kosaka. These interns
all came from African countries to attend the African region focused course
on Geology and Mineral Resources Information Equipment. Unfortunately,
the course was only three weeks long, but thanks to the Japanese culture
experience event and Japanese language class, we were able to get to know
these interns.
This August, interns are scheduled to come to Kosaka for a stay of three
months. As soon as they arrive we'll introduce the interns and events planned! |

All classes are on Thursday. They are free for KIS members, otherwise they

We're a little late, but we held an Easter party on April 20. Fortunately,
the weather was very nice so we were able to have a fun Easter egg hunt
outside. In addition, we decorated eggs, played some Easter games, and
had some American Easter candy. The kids seem to be getting more and more
used to American candy. The candy is really sweet, and the kids couldn't
finish the candy last year, but this year there was nothing left! |

Along with English, KIS is also offering English classes. Being the third most spoken language in the world, it would be useful to know even a little Spanish. Classes start at the very most basic level, and those with absolutely no experience are very much welcomed to attend. JICA interns from Spanish speaking countries frequently come to Kosaka, so let's learn at least a few easy phrases! |
