Game & BBQ Welcome Party 

Date: Sep 3(Sat)
15:00-17:00
Place: Central Park
Fee: 500 Yen for members,
1000 yen for non-members,
300 yen for junior high and high school students,
free for kids elementary school and under.

Let's welcome the JICA participants with a hearty game and barbeque party. We hope lots of kids will come. There will be some snacks and drinks prepared but you are welcome to bring more!

Flag Painting will be held at the BBQ.
There are no new flags to paint this time but you can help touch up the old flags.


Wine Festival with JICA

Date: Sep 18(Sun) 11:00 -
Place: Central Park
 KIS will be taking the JICA participants to the Wine Festival barbeque and it will be a prime chance to make friends with the JICA participants. At the same time, we will be raising money for the less privileged children in the world. You can get a free cup of coffee is you donate more than 100 yen. Please come out and show the love!

International Forum for High School Students

Kosaka? The JICA participants will introduce their countries, then we will all play some fun games.

International Cooking Class

KIS has been collecting the spices and cooking ingredients of the world for the last 10 years. Now there is nearly nothing we can't locate. Where else around here can you enjoy ethic foods that aren't doctored to fit Japanese tastes in their original full-flavored glory?

Come help the JICA participants prepare dishes from their home countries. Prepare yourself for the feast of the year!

International Song and Dance Night

 We'll be asking the JICA participants to teach us some songs and dances from their home countries and cultures. It's going to be great fun.

  A series of 8 conversation-based independent Japanese classes for the JICA participants. If you are interested in teaching Japanese please come and help out.

International Sports Festival

International Forum for High School Students II

Date: Nov 15(Tue)

Since our first attempt was a grand success, we are holding a 2nd High School Student International Forum. During this event, you get to learn about the JICA participants by hearing them talk about their countries, playing games and having discussions with them. This time the program is open to not only Kosaka High School students but other high school students that are KIS members or relatives of KIS members.

Farewell Party

Fee: KIS members 500 yen, Non-members 1000 yen
Junior high/high school students 300 yen,
Kids free.
We'd like to bring the JICA participants 3 month stay to its climax. This will be a fun, informal party. We will be showing a slideshow of the pictures we've taken together during the JICA participants stay. Maybe you'll get to see your own face on the big screen! We are arranging all sorts of live entertainment. You'll also be welcome to perform on the spot.
